\"\"<\/a>[tp lang=”en” only=”y”]On May 15th, supported by (among others) Institute of Aviation and our employees, a general meeting of Polish Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics took place. During the meeting, new Society board was elected. Prof.<\/span> Hab. Dr.<\/span> Eng.<\/span><\/span> Miros\u0142aw Rodzewicz was elected Chairman of the Board. Immediately after the meeting, Professor Fred Abbink from the Netherlands – a retired General Director of the Dutch aviation institute NLR<\/a> held a lecture titled \u201eSurvival of the Fittest: 90 Years of Dutch Aeronautics RDT&E in a Globalising Environment\u201d. Professor Abbink’s rich personality was presented by the outgoing President of the PSAA Board Prof. Hab. Dr. Eng. Zdobys\u0142aw Goraj (pictured, attached are also thesis of the lecture and Prof. Abbink’s CV). On behalf of the PSAA, Prof. Goraj honored Prof. Abbink with the title of Honorary Member and a commemorative PSAA medal. Prof.<\/span> Abbink<\/span> discussed in detail the<\/span> history of<\/span> the Dutch<\/span> aviation industry<\/span> and its<\/span> cooperation with the<\/span> NLR<\/span><\/span>, as well as changes in its strategy after the liquidation of the national aviation industry in the Netherlands, where in order to thrive, NLR became a partner of the global aviation industry, just as our institute. It is worth recalling, that jointly with NLR as a coordinator, we are currently implementing the “Endless Runway” project as part of 7th Framework Programme of the European Union. During backstage conversations, Prof. Abbink declared his support of the Polish sector of aviation research and development efforts for the organization of subsequent prestigious meetings of the Programme Committee of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences ICAS<\/a> and ICAS conference in Poland.[\/tp][tp lang=”pl” only=”y” not_in=”en”]W dniu 15 marca odby\u0142o si\u0119 na Wydziale Mechanicznym Energetyki i Lotnictwa Walne Zgromadzenie Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Aeronautyki i Astronautyki, wspieranego m.in. przez Instytut Lotnictwa i naszych pracownik\u00f3w. Na zebraniu wybrano nowe w\u0142adze stowarzyszenia. Prezesem Zarz\u0105du zosta\u0142 prof. nzw. dr hab. in\u017c. Miros\u0142aw Rodzewicz. Bezpo\u015brednio po zebraniu odby\u0142 si\u0119 wyk\u0142ad Profesora Freda Abbinka z Holandii \u2013 emerytowanego Dyrektora Generalnego holenderskiego instytutu lotnictwa NLR<\/a> pod tytu\u0142em \u201eSurvival of the Fittest: 90 Years of Dutch Aeronautics RDT&E in a Globalising Environment\u201d. Warto przypomnie\u0107, \u017ce aktualnie realizujemy wsp\u00f3lnie z NLR jako koordynatorem, projekt \u201eEndless Runway\u201d w ramach 7 Programu Ramowego Unii Europejskiej. W prowadzonych kuluarowych rozmowach prof. Abbink zadeklarowa\u0142 wsparcie polskiego sektora badawczo-rozwojowego lotnictwa w wysi\u0142kach na rzecz organizacji kolejnych presti\u017cowych spotka\u0144 Komitetu Programowego International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences ICAS<\/a> i konferencji ICAS w Polsce.
